Manuka honey: Manuka honey is from the very top shelf, and costs several hundred euro per glass. It is a special type of honey that comes from the manuka plant, which grows in wild and untouched areas in northeastern New Zealand. The special thing about the manuka plant is that it is available 4 weeks a year.
Manuka honey has a naturally high content of methylglyoxal - up to 835 mg/kg, whereas ordinary honey only contains up to 5.4 mg/kg.
